Raft then this book would be a useful tool If you are not spiritually inclined then I would say ive this book miss tool If you are not spiritually inclined then I would say ive this a miss don t buy this book expecting it to be full of spells as it is not that type of book While it does have some interesting information here and there this book is so wicca centered that might put some people that are looking for a folklore centered type of magic off It shouldn t be called The House Witch mostly because it strays a lot from that concept Besides some of the recipes feature ingredients that are dangerous starting a fire with rubbing alcohol really or that mention of doing a tincture with just alcohol or LA CRETE glicerine It s not very specific regarding some ingredients and their replacements the amount of times I saw fire mentioned in this book is mindboggling and while it mentions that fire represents a bunch of concepts it never tells you how fire is a symbol by itself and it can be represented in many ways and since a symbol is a representation of a concept then fire can be represented by any other means and thus has replacements This affects people that might want to try some of the stuff in this book but cannot start a fire indoors and almost all of the overcomplicated recipes and advice are centered on house dwelling which is not common these days The book is nicely edited and all that jazz but I couldn t help but think that most of the information here keepsoing in circles around the concept of the hearth to the point it becomes redundant Really informative and interesting read I particularly liked all of the information on folklore and deities I found it a really Angleterre : Pays de Galles, Écosse good book to dip in and out of and made for a relaxing read.
